Corpor at e n ews New Chair for the Board of Governors As per 1 January 2013, Per Falholt has been elected Chair of the Board of Governors for the next four years. Per Falholt is Executive Vice President and CSO for Research and Development at Novozymes. He graduated in 1983 from DTU with an MSc in chemical engineering, is an external lecturer at IMD in Lausanne for Executive MBA, and was appointed honorary professor at DTU Systems Biology in 2010. Per Falholt has been with Novo Nordisk and Novozymes for the past 30 years where he has focused on biotechnological research and innovation. New Director for Innovation and Entrepreneurship As per 1 December 2012, Marianne Thellersen took up her position as Senior Vice President and Director for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at DTU. DTU has always had a remarkable innovation profile in terms of patents, spin-out companies and business sector partnerships. Marianne Thellersen will be heading DTU’s work on contributing even further to the value creation in the Danish society through patenting the university’s inventions, strengthening Danish companies’ innovation potential and establishing new businesses on the basis of DTU’s research. Marianne Thellersen completed her MSc in chemical engineering at DTU in 1989, and was immediately employed by Novo Nordisk and later Novozymes where she, among other things, was Business Development and Marketing Director. Marianne Thellersen joined DTU from a position as Program Director at CBS-SIMI Executive, where she has been responsible for developing the strategic direction for medical and biotech MBA programmes.
