Studying at DTU 28 international MSc programmes, numerous summer schools, exchange programmes and approx. 400 courses in English from the third year onwards— DTU offers a research-based education and a uniquely flexible course structure, and welcomes around 1,100 international students each year. At DTU, the educational system encourages all students to take responsibility for planning and executing projects, and to participate actively in discussions in order to develop their critical and analytical skills. Students learn to work individually and in groups, and new students will soon discover that every opinion is valued. There is little hierarchy at DTU and student-staff relations are typically less formal than in most other countries. Professors go by their first name and are easily accessible to students. Admission and costs Higher education in Denmark is usually provided free of charge for all EU/ EEA students and for students participating in an exchange programme.
