One of the researchers is Professor Thomas Lars Andresen from DTU Nanotech, who is to develop nanocapsules to deliver pharmaceuticals to cancer cells in the body. The other is Professor Rune Linding from DTU Systems Biology, who will be researching how biological systems function— including investigating how cancer cells behave—with a view to developing more effective medicines. 6 October  Test Centre Østild opens Neighbours, representatives of the wind turbine industry and a large number of other interested people came to the official opening of Test Centre Østild, which was attended by Ida Auken, the Danish Minister for the Environment. The centre is the first site in the world where wind turbines as high as the pylons on the biggest bridges can be tested and further developed under well understood wind conditions. Peter Hjuler Jensen, Deputy Head of DTU Wind Energy, is in charge of the centre. 8 October C olumbus egg to generate growth DTU Business launches The 100 Day Growth Challenge—a programme intended for experienced managers who are looking for work. Over the course of six weeks, the participants receive teaching from international management experts and simultaneously work to solve a short or long-term growth challenge for a Danish company. In the same way as a ‘Columbus egg’, the programme is to help participants find work and to generate growth and workplaces for the participating companies. 11 October O ffice where the decisions are taken DTU and three alliance universities open an office in Brussels.
