SDC The Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research (SDC) is a joint project on education and research between the eight Danish universities, the Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. DTU considers close and strong networks of universities and the sharing of visions and strengths to be important means to further internationalization. In order to strengthen and sustain DTU’s international position—and to provide faculty and students with the best opportunities for engaging in cooperation with excellent universities throughout the world—DTU participates in a number of research networks, exchange programmes and peer to peer collaborations with academic partners around the globe. DTU is a truly international university. DTU researchers publish more than 50 per cent of their research results in collaboration with colleagues from international universities, and more than 30 per cent of DTU’s scientific staff has an international background. To nurture the international environment further, DTU participates in a number of particularly close strategic alliances with selected partners from the Nordic countries, Europe and Asia. The aim of these unique alliances is to utilize shared and complementary strengths and create synergy within education, research and innovation.
