11. Dr. Kim Carneiro received euspen’s
Lifetime Achievement Award
Dr. Kim Carneiro, senior adviser at DTU Mechanical
Engineering and former CEO of DFM,
The Danish National Metrology Institute, was
awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of
the European Society for Precision Engineering
and Nanotechnology (euspen) at the
general assembly in June 2017.
12. Professor Per Møller received
William Blum’s Scientific Achievement
Award
Professor Per Møller was presented with the
prestigious award within surface technology
at the opening ceremony at the US SUR/
FIN-2017 conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The
prize is awarded by (NASF) National Association
for Surface Finishing.
13. Student projects at Roskilde
Students from Design and Innovation and
Mechanical Engineering participated with
their projects at DTU Roskilde solving specific
problems at the festival such as waste
management, showers or how to stay well
hydrated as a festival guest.
