The Capital Region of Denmark Innovation contest
Innovation in Healthcare to improve patient outcome -
initiated by frontline staff.
What do we offer?
Three teams from Rigshospitalet, Herlev-Gentofte Hospital
and Bornholms Hospital respectively qualified for a 5
months innovation scholarship granted by the Capital
Region of Denmark.
The teams used this to transform their innovative ideas
picked up from their everyday work experience into more
specific designs. They used prototyping to test various
designs and sort out ways to go forward. On display are
the results of this journey so far.
MEASURELET: A technological toilet that can transfer data
on urine and faeces to the electronic patient record
MOBILE MUM: A sling that distributes weight more evenly
when giving birth and is safe to use when mobilizing the
woman in the sling.
DRAIN AND SLEEP: A device that remedies discomfort for
stroke patients using diapers. Patients’ gains are more
sleep and more frequent participation in rehabilitation.
What differentiates us?
These solutions are focused on improving patient quality by either speeding up or simplifying clinical procedures as
we know them today. The patients’ gains from this:
- A more accurate collection of data needed to decide what clinical procedure to initiate.
- Providing the patients with more choices.
- An earlier start to the much needed rehabilitation process.
- Faster and more efficient patient flow.
What do we look for at the Medico Bazar?
We are looking for partners within finance to move the projects ahead and for partners within the field of
technology to enable the functionality that we are targeting.
