But unfortunately, these medical devices come with an inherent
risk that the user acquires an inconvenient and potentially lifethreatening
biofilm infection
At DTI, we help companies develop novel medical devices with
improved anti-infective properties with a competitive edge.
Solution
DTI has the knowhow and the microbiological facilities needed for
swift and competent product development and prototype testing.
We have experience with a wide array of anti-infective strategies
like anti-biofilm coatings, germicidal UVC-light, ozone air
disinfection and sustained release of antibiotic substances. Our
gold standard culture-based methods and cutting-edge cultivationindependent
toolbox for microorganism ID will ensure that you get
a reliable profile on the efficacy of your devices.

What do we look for at the Medico Bazar?
We want to put our brains and equipment to good use and we’re primarily looking for startup, and established
companies developing novel medical devices with improved anti-infective properties. We work as either i) a partner
or coordinator of publicly funded R&D projects like Eurostars, InnoBooster or H2020 projects or ii) a fee-for-service
partner in contract research.
