What do we offer?
Chronic sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea
(OSA) is a significant health condition, which is time
consuming and expensive to diagnose. We aim to design
and clinically validate a simple monitoring system for
chronic sleep disorders.
We focus on designing a pervasive system capable of 24/7
monitoring of patients with chronic sleep disorders,
incorporating intelligent data driven machine learning
models capable of detecting abnormal events opening for
ground breaking earlier and better disease treatment. The
system is implemented using smartphone apps and cloud
based storage - a user friendly, flexible, and powerful data
What differentiates us?
The combination of engineering with medical science has produced great results in many fields. However, still
clinical diagnosis of OSA is just based on manual interpretation of electrophysiological signals performed by medical
doctors. We propose the development of algorithms that can improve the ability of diagnosing neurodegenerative
diseases in early stages using simple monitoring system available to everyone. The development of such algorithms
will be supervised also by medical doctors, which provide interesting feedbacks and useful inputs.
