Enable – Freedom Through Everyday Technology
What do we offer? Project Picture
Enable makes smart home devices accessible for people
with disabilities. This is done using innovative eye tracking
technology, which can run directly on a smartphone
without the need of calibration or additional hardware.
Simple gestures with the eyes can control different types
of smart home devices. This way Enable provides a greater
independency and freedom for motor disabled people
through every day technology.
People with motor disabilities experiences great challenges
by interacting with their physical surroundings. To alleviate
their needs, various welfare technologies such as
automated doors, special lamps and big and clumsy
activation buttons are provided by public programs. These
devices are usually sold and produced separately by a
company and must be adapted to each individual user and
the system to be integrated into. This makes the devices
expensive, unreliable and difficult to install and maintain.
What differentiates us?
We have developed a 100% software based eye-tracking technology, which haven’t been seen on the market yet.
Our eye-tracking software runs on a standard smartphone or tablet, without the need of additional hardware or
calibration before use. It makes our technology incredibly cheap compared to existing eye-tracking technology and
very scalable as it can be downloaded in Apple AppStore etc.
What do we look for at the Medico Bazar?
We are primarily looking for financing. We want to set up different tests with end-users in their homes. To get
there, we need to purchase various smart home devices and developer hardware. Subsequently, control of the
smart home devices must be integrated into the software and eye-tracking algorithms must be optimized, which
will require time or hiring of a full stack developer.
Secondly, we are looking for collaborators who can help with business development and have experiences with
sales of welfare technology both nationally and internationally.
